Bro. Greg O'Lone becomes Honorary Member

On 12th February, 2019 Bro. Greg O'Lone of Lodge Eastmuir 1126 became the latest honorary member of our Lodge.

As well as being a regular visitor at our meetings, Greg is a great supporter of all our social events.  Unknown to many Greg has done a lot of work to help with the upkeep of our halls in his own time and sought no reward or thanks.  A credit to his Mother Lodge and to Scottish Freemasonry, it is a pleasure for us to now count Greg among the Brethren of Lodge Scotia 178.

Alex Brown PM

It is with great sadness that we announce that on 28th May, 2018 Bro. Alex Brown PM passed to the Grand Lodge above. Bro Alex was a member of our Lodge for 71 years having been initiated in 1947. Bro Alex served the Lodge as RWM in 1998 a full 50 years after first joining. He also served the Lodge as Secretary to the instruction class for over 35 years and amongst other things was also Honorary Provincial Grand Bible Bearer and the Session Clerk for Saint Andrew in the East Church where the PGL Divine Service was then held. Bro Alex served this Lodge well for a long time and we will be poorer for his loss. 'A kind man with a smile and a good word for everyone.' A freemason through and through. Rest easy dear Brother.
